lil' archimedes

I realize that every parent thinks that their child is smart, but I'm telling you, Tobey is SMART!  He is observant and perceptive.  Like all kids, he is behind the curve in some areas, but ahead in others.  And when it comes to intelligence and logic, I think he's ahead.

For instance, he loves to talk about how when he gets into the bathtub, the water goes up, and when he gets out, the water goes down.  He hasn't rediscovered Archimedes principle by any means, but hey, he's three and a half, and if he has already figured out that the water goes up and down, it won't be long before he realizes the concept of measuring the volume of irregular objects by measuring water displacement...or at least he'll figure it out before he takes physics!  At any rate, the fact that water gets displaced when he gets into the bathtub fascinates him, and I hope he always has this love of learning science.
