odds and ends for fall 2013

I fell like I have slacked some with blogging, but with two small and needy kids and with babysitting a third kid in the afternoon who also brings her friend over sometimes, it is impossible to document everything.  And when I get the time, I'm too exhausted.  So I thought I'd do a catch-up post with some pictures I had taken.  Enjoy!

I really hurt my toe at the beginning of October.  I kicked it on the corner of the bed when I was walking around it.  It hurt worse than labor!  It was so bad that I couldn't walk for several days.  It wasn't just the toe but the whole side of my foot that was swollen.  Luckily, no fractures.  It is just taking its sweet time to heal.  I still am unable to do anything strenuous, but I'm hoping it will be all better in another week or two.

Corn maze with Mimi.  Tobey was running so fast that Mimi could barely keep up with him.  Adam, Jonah, and I got separated from them because I could barely walk because of my toe.  Mimi was here visiting with us for 10 days to help me out and to be here for the party.

Not quite sure about getting his face painted.  He wanted an orange snake.  Random!  Actually, he asked for a garbage truck first, and the lady was like, "uh no".

jonah's first birthday party

We had so much fun doing a first birthday party for Jonah!  Since he has a fall birthday, we did a fall festival theme complete with a pumpkin patch.  The kids loved it!  We had lots of food, including a chili bar.  It was just fun watching all the kids play.  But I'll tell ya, I'm not doing a party for a long time!  The clean up was killer because of the bales of hay we got for the pumpkin patch!  But it was worth it in order to celebrate such an awesome occasion.  Happy birthday, Jonah Bear!  Mommy and daddy love you!
