I was holding Jonah on the couch, but the dogs needed to be let out, so I propped Jonah up in the corner.  When I got back, this is how I found him.  I love sleeping babies!

thanksgiving 2012

Since we recently had a baby, we decided not to travel this year for Thanksgiving.  And since Jessica and David didn't have plans, they decided to come to us.  They got here late Tuesday and left Friday afternoon, and during that time, it was pure chaos with the 3 boys under 3.  Poor Ezra wasn't feeling good, and that little tornado, as we called him, was just walking around and fussing.  And to make matters worse for him, Tobey was tackling him and trying to rough house.  I don't think Ezra was quite ready for that.  We ended up not doing too much because the three boys had all different schedules.  We had dinner at Adam's parents house, and it was nice to get out.  But we had a great time with family, even in the chaos!

jonah's gee

I took this picture a while back, but I wanted to share.  Tobey had picked out this "gee" for his little brother a few weeks before Jonah was born.  We tried to get Tobey to pick out a different one, but of course he picked out the most expensive one in the store.  We have decided to make it a tradition that the youngest in the family gets to pick out the new family member a gee.

Tobey was a train engineer, and Jonah was a monkey.  I really think Tobey had one of the best nights of his life because he is still talking about Halloween several weeks later.  We only took him to about a half dozen houses, and he seemed content with that.  He even went up to some houses by himself.  When we got home, he loved answering the door to see what the other kids were dressed like.

jonah - 1 month old

1 Month Old

Little Jonah is one month old today!  He's a pretty happy baby as long as he gets to eat and sleep.  He is even already smiling!  He can be gassy at times and may have some reflux.  At first he was eating every hour and a half, but now he will go 2 to 3 hours, also at night.  He listens very attentively when we talk, and he seems to like when I sing to him.  I have put him to sleep several times just by singing!  Tobey is still adjusting to his little brother, but every night he gives Jonah a kiss.  I can't wait for the day when they'll be best friends!
