ketan's wedding
Adam and I have been friends with Ketan for 10 years now. In fact, he was the first person I met when I started working at Disney just over 10 years ago! Adam and Ketan were roommates much of the time we interned and then hung out at Georgia Tech. He's a great guy, lots of fun, funny, intelligent. It's crazy to think that 10 years ago we were lowly interns, 'newbies' in fact, and now Ketan is hiring interns!
Adam and I were very happy to be able to go to his wedding. His lovely bride, Amy, has been very patient...I don't know how long they have been dating, but Adam and I got married 6 and half years ago, and Ketan took Amy as his date so it's been at least 7 years, probably more. Adam and I had so much fun at their wedding. It was at Bok Tower Gardens in Lakes Wales, FL, which I had never heard of, but it's got to be the highest point in Florida because we had to drive up a hill to get there, and you could look out over the town. Ha! Amy looked beautiful in her lace gown, and Ketan looked so happy when he saw her walking down the aisle. All the ladies from Ketan's family were wearing beautiful, colorful saris. Honestly, I wish I had worn one too. There was also some amazing Indian food, along with American food too, and Indian music and dancing. It was fun to jump in and dance along even though I didn't know anyone or the steps. Anyways, cheers to Ketan and Amy! Hope you have a wonderful, blessed marriage!

| The tower...reminded me of Tower of Terror. I wanted to go inside, but it was surrounded by a moat. The ceremony was on the reverse side of it. |

jonah is 7 months old!
It has really been an eventful month for Jonah! He seems so much more like a little person now. He is still a very good eater, and so far the only thing he refused to eat was zucchini. Jonah is still getting up twice a nice (usually 11 and then 4), but I'm pretty sure it is out of habit instead of hunger. After I feed him, he often plays for a little in his crib, and then in the morning, he doesn't want to eat that much. During the day, I usually nurse him 6 times...sometimes he drinks a lot, and other times it is just a little. So that makes a total of 8...that seems a little high for being 7 months old, but for right now I'm just going with it. He is happy and healthy. I probably reevaluate at 9 months.
Jonah has also started to do a few more things. My favorite is saying "ba ba ba ma ma ma". He'll repeat that over and over. I haven't caught it on video yet, but I'll try. Jonah isn't quite sitting yet, but he is getting better each day. He'll sit for maybe up to 30 seconds, but he is not even consistent with sitting that long. (Although the weekend after he turned 7 months, he started sitting for longer periods of time to where I can say he is definitely a sitter). He seems to be more interested in crawling, but he hasn't gotten that down either. He'll go up on his hands for a few seconds or he'll get up on his knees for a few seconds, but never at the same time and never does he move. I've noticed that he has seemed a little more frustrated since he wants to move and can't. Little does he know that it won't be long before he is all over the house!
Jonah still loves his brother, and Tobey is certainly becoming more receptive of Jonah. He often talks about Jonah, and I can tell he is excited that Jonah is getting bigger and more capable.
Also, we've tried some puffs, but Jonah doesn't seem to have the fine motor skills necessary to pick them up. It's funny to watch him though because he gets really mad about it.
One other thing is that we thought he got a tooth this month. Adam and I both saw it and felt a little white bump that looked just like a tooth coming through right where a tooth should be coming through. A few hours later, it was gone! We are still waiting for it to make its reappearance, and then Jonah will officially have a tooth.

other random may pictures and videos
the second annual slide family watching of the kentucky derby 2013
For the second year in a row, we all ate dinner in the living room to watch the running of the Kentucky Derby. We all placed our bets:
Adam - MyLute
Casey - Palace Malice
Tobey - Frac Daddy
Jonah - Orb (which we randomly selected for him)
And Orb wins! Nice pick, Jonah!

Poor Tobes has been through a lot lately, which is probably why I haven't been blogging as much. A few weeks ago, Tobey suffered a rectal prolapse. Fortunately, they do not hurt. Unfortunately, they cause moms to freak out. After discussing it with the doctor, sounds like the kid is constipated. I felt like such an idiot that I didn't know, but the doctor explained to me that child constipation is not the same as adult constipation. And while rectal prolapses are uncommon, chronic constipation is very common. So to make a long story short, he is now on a regiment to get his colon back down to size. I'm having to work hard to get him to eat the right foods and avoid the bad, but to get this kid to eat anything is a battle. That being said, he's been very brave and has been a champ, like always.
mothers day 2013
Yesterday was mother's day, and Adam and the boys had a nice little surprise for me:
All I really wanted for mothers' day was a nap and to not be responsible for anything. While I did get a nap and I did have to do a few things, it was nice to have a day to just walk past the sink without doing the dishes, to leave the toys in disarray, and to let Adam do whatever I didn't feel like doing. I'm so blessed to have my three boys. I'm so blessed to be Adam's wife and Tobey and Jonah's mother!
