Yes, Tobey touched Jesus today, in a very literal sense. As I took communion, he reached his hand into the bowl of Hosts. Luckily, the lady serving communion was very quick and grabbed his hand to lift it out. She must have been trained for situations like that. I'm so thankful he didn't actual grab a hold of one.
**Note to self: Hold Tobey's hands down when you go up for communion. He's tried to get a Host once, and he's bound to try again.**

tobey and the picture of the little boy
When we were in Orlando a couple of weekends ago for Suzanne's wedding, Tobey was obsessed with playing with this piece of paper that had a picture of a little boy. The picture was part of a book that Jessica got for Tobey and Ezra that was removable and could be replaced by a picture your child. So Tobey took out the picture and started playing catch with it with my mom. He was just going crazy of the picture, but I had totally forgotten about it by the time we left to go back home.
Yesterday in the mail, Tobey got a little surprise from Aunt KoKo...

After recording this, I asked him whose house the picture was from, and he said "KoKo's".

23 months old today
It is hard to believe that Tobey will be 2 years old in only one more month. He has changed significantly this past month both in his speech and in his ability to reason. Here are a few things that have happened just in the last day or two:
- He is saying a lot more 2 word phrases:
- Tattoo done (Tobey is done eating is what he meant)
- Turn on
- Turn around
- Orange seed
- There are others, but those are the ones coming to mind right now.
- When I told him we were taking his picture, he went over to the couch and sat in the corner and waited for us. He knew exactly what we meant.
- He is starting to really fight taking naps and going to bed. He uses all kinds of stall tactics, such as milk, wanting to be rocked, and needing a particular parent to put his blanket on him.
- Today, while I was checking the mail, he locked the front door. The dogs were in the back yard so the backdoor was unlocked so at least I had a way in. He tried to unlock it once I told him to, but he couldn't do it.
- He told me there were orange seeds in his milk. (Starting to get creative!)
- He visited Terri's students today and was able to sort colored pens.
- Yesterday, he told me he wanted mac and cheese for lunch.
I am sure other significant things have happened, but this is what I am remembering right now. Here is his 23 month picture along with a picture of him putting on my socks.

two word phrases
Tobey is saying a lot more two word phrases. Every day I notice that he is getting closer and closer to talking.

photo booth mayhem
Last weekend I went to my cousin Suzanne's wedding. Adam didn't go because of his whole job situation (which he will be starting his new job on Monday...yay!). Most of my family was there, and we had a blast acting crazy and dancing crazy like always. And of course, I didn't get a picture of the bride, but that happens at every wedding I attend. But take my word for it that she was beautiful and so was the wedding.
The best thing that they had at this wedding was a photo booth. I had never been to a wedding with a photo booth, but Jess says she gone to many of them. Anyways, without further ado, here are the pictures...

Jessica and me...sister picture!
Me, Jess, and our cousins, Emily, Holly, and Carrie
And the crazy bunch - Me, Jess, Mom, Dad, David, and Aunt Cheryl (Mother of the Bride popped in for the last shot) And please excuse Jessica for holding that Seminole head. She knows not what she does, but at least she's got it upside down.
adam
Tobey has realized that I call Adam "Adam" instead of "daddy", so now Tobey is screaming "ADAM!!!" when he wants to get Adam's attention. It comes out a little like, "IIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!"
train pj's
This is the second day in a row that Tobey has insisted on wearing his train pj's for his nap. Silly boy.

done done done
Tobey continues to use the word done constantly. When we were down in Orlando, he was down for a really long nap. The moment I popped my head in to see if he was okay, he sprung up and said, "done!"
Then today at Mass towards the end Tobey said, "church done." I guess he was ready to leave.

biggest truck ever
One would probably think this post was about Tobey, but it is actually about my mom. Me, Jess, and my mom were leaving the Mall of Millinia in Orlando this past weekend, and we saw the biggest truck ever. It looked like a semi from the front so we took pictures. I told my mom to get in the picture so we could see how big the truck was, and this is what she did:
homemade mac 'n cheese
I made homemade mac 'n cheese today, and it was really good! Tobey was even eating it until he saw that there was broccoli in there, which he called "dirt".

catch air and cars
Yesterday was the last day that the three of us would be together for the entire day before Adam returned to work so we headed out to Catch Air for the afternoon. Tobey loves the place, but he wants us to go and do everything with him. We were quite exhausted so on the drive home, we told Tobey that he could watch the movie "Cars" when we got home, and he freaked out. He was squealing because he was so excited. Now, this kid has never seen a movie, nor does he know what a movie is. He made it about 30 minutes and went to go play with his trains. He is a mover for sure, which is definitely a good thing.

no done eat
At dinner tonight, Tobey said, "No done eat!" Any guesses on what he meant?? (He loves to say the work done whether he is done or not.)

videos
So we have a million videos, but here are some really good ones.
Tobey loves the number 2. When you ask him how old he is, he will tell you 2. So when he was jumping in his ball pit, he'd get really excited when we said 2 when counting to 3.
This was taken at Catch Air.
Okay, I am just going to need to do better at uploading videos. There are so many good ones! Maybe I'll have Adam upload them to YouTube and add a link instead.
some other pictures of tobey at 21 months (22nd month)
I have been labeling Tobey's pictures all funny. He is 21 months in these photos, or as I have been labelling, his 22nd month. This month Tobey started to talk A LOT more. He is not really saying many phrases ("no mommy", "go mommy", "turn mommy"), but he has increased his vocab drastically. Some of his new words include: railroad, turn, round, train, orange, throw, bounce...well I can't think of what else, but he is saying a lot.
He has these names for people:
My mom (Grammy) - Mimi
My dad (Gatorpa) - Paw
Dewey - Dew Dew
Becky (Gaby) - Gaggy
Adam's mom (Grandma) - Mamoo
Adam's dad (Pops) - Pops
Ricky - Icky
Penny and Miles - PennyMiles
He learned how to bounce a ball which was so exciting to him. Here are some pictures, and I'll get some videos up too.

I made pajama pants for everyone.
Visit with friends...Tobey playing with Hannah and Timothy
Visit to Lakes' Park...one of many visits
He got to ride the train at night when the Christmas lights were on.
His legos...he is wearing underwear because we ran out of diapers...he did pretty good in them!
Watching YouTube
Christmas present
Okay, so next year I need to get some pictures of people other than Tobey.
the nina, the pinta, and the ...
...oh, that's it. Just the Nina and the Pinta. When we were down in Fort Myers for Christmas, we went to the Nina and Pinta replicas that were on display at Fisherman's Village in Punta Gorda. These boats were built to be as similar to the real ones as possible, including the methodologies used to make them. The Nina was built to be a replica, but the Pinta was actually intended to be a tour boat in the Caymon Islands so it is 1.5 the actually size of the real Pinta, which is crazy because both these ships were surprisingly small.
There were some volunteers on the ships that answered questions and gave us some interesting facts. First of all, Columbus was a giant. He was 6 foot 1 while the height of those on board were from 4 foot 1 to 4 foot 9. No wonder he had a commanding presence. These shorties had to stay on the front half of the ship on the deck which really wasn't much room at all for about 30 men, even if they were short. Columbus' favorite ship was in the Nina which took 38 days to cross the Atlanta. I could not imagine how awful it would have been.
