Last weekend, Adam and I went to Charleston, SC for a babymoom. This is what we did, and here are some pictures.
Friday - We got there at lunchtime and had lunch at Hominy Grill. It was recommended to me by a friend, and it was really good. Then we walked around for a while, but it was sooooo hot. Then we went to where we were staying which was 30 minutes away on a plantation, the Inn at Middleton Place. It looks like I didn't take any pictures of it, but maybe Adam did on his phone. It was definitely a unique place. Definitely not luxurious by any means, but it was nice.
Saturday - We went for a bike ride in the morning, which Adam enjoyed, but it's not so fun when you're 7 months pregnant. It wouldn't have been so bad on a nice, flat, paved path, but we had to go through grass, uphill, and on a hiking trail (which turned out to be a horse trail which explained a lot). I walked my bike for much of the ride. Then we went to the pool for a little bit before going on the tour of the plantation which was pretty cool. For dinner, we went back to Charleston and ate at Poogan's Porch after we went to mass at St. John the Baptist Cathedral. Poogan's was really good! But then we went back to the car for a second and we locked the keys in the car...oops! Luckily, we got help in about 30 or 45 minutes. We then went to some famous place for dessert, but it honestly wasn't too great.
Sunday - Not much happened Sunday. We took our time getting ready in the morning. Adam went for a run. And then we headed home.
I'd go back to Charleston, but definitely not in August and after we visited some other places first. Next time I would try to do some tours or go to some museums.
